REVIEW: ELF COSMETICS & FOTD

It was a nice sunny weekend so what did I do to have fun? I decided to break out my new e.l.f. makeup to try out over the weekend and I am impressed. Oh and by the way, I got a haircut last week...a lot of layers and a quick trim. =]
lol at my flyaways...
 Face
MAC: studio fix fluid, MSF powder, e.l.f.: complete coverage concealer, complexion perfection, high definition powder, contouring blush and bronzing powder
Eyes
MAC paint pot in "chilled on ice", e.l.f.: pigment eyeshadow in "ivory", cream eyeliner in "black", L'oreal voluminous mascara
Lips
Revlon: Pink Pout

Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths did fairly well in my book. I wouldn't repurchase again because of the strong unpleasant smell.
The High Definition Powder is one of my products now. It is comparable to the other high definition powders out there. I would repurchase again!

 PROS
  • Did wonders for a flawless face in pictures
  • Inexpensive
  • Comparable to MUFE high definition powder, which I owned and returned because it was too spendy.
 CONS
  • Can make your face pale
Stipple Brush and Angled Contour Brush: As thought, did not disappoint because I love all e.l.f. studio brushes!
Complete Coverage Concealer in "Light"...I would NOT repurchase again.

PROS
  • Good range of color...good for mixing
  • Inexpensive
CONS
  • Watery, slippery feel
  • Too sheer
  • Is NOT complete coverage as claims
Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder...I FREAKING LOVE THIS. Would definitely repurchase again!!

PROS
  • Inexpensive
  • Super pigmented
  • Great universal color
  • Comparable to Nars Orgasm and Laguna duo
 CONS
  •  The powder sheds easily as seen but doesn't that happen to most powder stuff?
Complexion Perfection...I do like this and it paired perfectly with the High Definition powder. Trust me, those colors do not show up on your face, hah.
Pigment Eyeshadow in "Innocent Ivory" is very pigmented and such a pretty color! It actually shows up goldish pink.
Cream eyeliner in "Black" was very dark and pigmented and glided easily. I would never use a brush that goes with a product but this little guy did a pretty decent j o b.

I hope this helped out all of you ladies and gents that have been curious about e.l.f. cosmetics as I was because I only owned their brushes and a blush. Now I'm hooked!

You look beautiful! Hard to tell you used ELF (which I'm also a fan of btw). I'm even more curious now about the rest of their stuff now, except the concealer lol...

Also, loving the haircut and your eyeliner/lipstick. You look super pretty.

Two things... either you must not have any bags under your eyes hardly at all, or that concealer is amazing! I have the hardest time completely concealing my undereyes :-( Also, that pink lipstick is perfect!

How gorgeous are you missy?! I love your make-up - it's perfect!!

Love the reviews for the ELF products. I still find it strange how their products are dirt cheap and super durable. I can't complain though since it's only benefiting us haha :) I've only used their brushes, blush, bronzer and tweezer so far. I'm going to look into picking up a few more things!

I love the ELF Studio brushes I have =] I'm planning to get more or even all ;] The powder brush is starting to shed but thats okay... its been over a year of usage and the price is not bad. Overall, love that line! I never really tried their actual cosmetics like lipsticks and eyeshadow but I'll think about it ;] Thanks for this post!

love the new trim, babe! and the elf make up looks fabbbb on you esp the winged out liner! and about the orly's nail defense, i use it as a base coat, it keeps the polish on for longer and it also keeps my nails strong

The new do suits you. LOL! You deserve better, but I was in the mood to rhyme. =) Besides, my friend Stomp n Chomp (that's what my brain sees when I see her name) said it best already.

I love ELF products I was actually introduced to it only because I refinanced the owner's home lol after I did that he sent me a whole box of free makeup which I haven't even used all of them yet. the only thing I finished was the bronzer/blush combo OMG I love that thing. Gotta love connections <3
